Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East National Park
Departure: Early morning (around 5:30 – 6:00 AM) pick-up from your hotel or resort in Mombasa, Diani, or Nyali. Drive along the Mombasa–Nairobi highway (approx. 2.5–3 hours).
Game Drive: Enter Tsavo East National Park through Bachuma Gate. Begin your first game drive en route to the lodge/camp.
Wildlife Sighting: Elephants (often red-dusted), lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and antelope species.
Lunch: Check-in and lunch at a lodge or camp inside or near the park (e.g., Ashnil Aruba Lodge, Voi Safari Lodge).
Afternoon Game Drive: Explore more of Tsavo East. Key highlights include:
Aruba Dam (a great wildlife viewing spot)
Mudanda Rock (a natural viewpoint and water collection area)
Dinner & Overnight: Return to lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park
Early Morning Game Drive: Optional early game drive before breakfast.
Breakfast: At the lodge/camp.
Transfer to Tsavo West: Mid-morning drive (approx. 2 hours) to Tsavo West National Park, entering via the Tsavo River Gate or Chyulu Gate.
Scenic Drive: Enjoy the more mountainous and lush terrain of Tsavo West.
Lunch: At the lodge/camp (e.g., Kilaguni Serena Lodge, Ngulia Safari Lodge).
Afternoon Visit to Mzima Springs:
Crystal-clear spring water with hippos and crocodiles
Underwater viewing tank to observe fish and aquatic life
Optional: Visit the Shetani Lava Flow or Poacher’s Lookout.
Dinner & Overnight: At your lodge/camp inside Tsavo West.
Day 3: Tsavo West – Mombasa
Early Morning Game Drive: Catch predators at their most active and watch the sunrise over the Chyulu Hills.
Breakfast: At the lodge/camp.
Departure: Exit the park and drive back to Mombasa via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway.
Stopover: Optional stops for souvenirs or scenic views.
Arrival: Late afternoon/early evening drop-off at your hotel or resort.
